On November 10, 2016, CS Rotarians and CHS Interact Club assembled and stuffed over 150 stockings for our troops overseas. This annual effort has been a very successful collaboration of the two clubs and had collected generous donations of snacks, trail mix, candy, beef jerky, hand-written holiday cards, socks, gloves, and stocking hats to our troops overseas. This year's stockings have already been shipped to Kuwait and are being transferred to troops in Afghanistan. Last year's shipments went to troops in Okinawa and Iraq. Basking in the shade of the new CSR easy-up, the DG, Luciano de Sylva and his wife Hazel display the booty bestowed upon them by his nibs from the coffers of CSR (the CSR flag and a t-shirt). Also visiting were AG Bill Longacre and EG Mark Barragan. Bill said of the 16 clubs he’d visited, ours was the best! The Club and the members were decorated in red, white, & blue as would be a typical meeting. The Two Skins did a rousing Grand Old Flag to start the...(read more)

June 2016 saw the end of an empire. One that had flourished successfully under the guiding hand of Sal Flores-Chatfield, taking CSR to a new level. He initiated the "Rotary Moments" where members pointed out an event that was impacted by their association with the Club. His year had witnessed the growth of the Club, particularly with the inclusion of the R'futures Club for the millenials. Other projects, such as the Rosarito Project where backpacks and shoes were distributed, went very well. The Club's fame was exemplified by the huge...(read more)

In May of 2015, President John Espinoza gave up the gavel and handed it over (eagerly) to incoming prez Sal Chatfield. Normally this would have been a great story but everyone there was sworn to not saying anything about that night, ever again. Make up your own story.
Ack! Who would have thought that just entering a small amount of text like that would cause the webpage to include the images that appeared down below in this post. I have to just enter some text here so you'll have to just...(read more)
