The past couple of years have been pretty difficult times for our Club (as well as the world in general). We've had to cancel our annual fundraiser event at Hurst Ranch which provided a great party for the community while raising cash needed for our philanthropic projects. But now, with the prospect of things opening up and along with the 40th anniversary of our founding, we did a restart of the event. It was held at the Covina Woman's Club on May 14th, downsized just a bit, but it kept all the great things that you've come to expect from our Club.
The theme was "Boots, Booze & Boogie" and it was our 28th major annual fundraiser. We still had the live auction and opportunity raffles along with the legendary Wine Toss and Granny's Trading Post, along with a chance to win $1000 cash. The bar provided "Tequila Sunrise Rotary" signature cocktails along with the usual free beer & wine to go along with our Texas BBQ & Tex Mex themed buffets. The crowd also enjoyed the country and bluegrass stylings of the Ash Street Ramblers. The private "VIP Experience" tables got premium front row service and personal attention. They, along with regular ticket owners, provided the donations which will benefit our Operation Santa Clothes project and the CSR Legacy Foundation.
